Tiramisù coffee dessert
"Tiramisù ("pull me up") is a cornerstone of Italian cuisine used as a dessert and very easy to prepare. Unfortunately we did not find out who invented it but surely we know how to prepare one of the best tiramisu you have ever tasted.
10 oz "Savoiardi" biscuits
4 Very fresh eggs
18 oz Mascarpone cheese
3 ½ oz Sugar
Bitter cocoa powder for the surface
1 ½ cup espresso coffee (5 Gallo coffee espresso pods "intenso bar" or "columbia")
How to make it
Take the eggs and carefully separate the egg whites from the yolks. With electric whisk whip the egg yolks with 50 g of sugar, until the mixture is clear and foamy. Add the mascarpone a little at a time. Once you have incorporated all the cheese you will have obtained a thick and compact cream; Keep it aside.
Clean the whips very well and go to beat the egg whites until stiff with the remaining sugar.
Combine the two compounds little at a time by mixing very gently from top to bottom.
Take a 30x20cm baking dish and spread a generous spoonful of cream on the bottom. Soak the "savoiardi" biscuits in the sweetened cold Gallocoffee for a few moments. Cover the whole surface with the biscuits and add another layer of cream on top. Level the surface and sprinkle it with some bitter cocoa powder. Leave in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.
Your tiramisu is ready to be tasted!
